You are in the middle of a self-learning process of who you really are. As long as you deny yourself and act like an ostrich that will dip your head in the sand, you will not be able to reach the right conclusions. When you enter into meditation then you are in an energetic space that protects you from both external and negative energies such as ego and fear.
